Hillary Clinton Has Been Right All Along About Barry Obama

The latest Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll (Aug 8) of 3,000 likely voters shows McCain with a national lead of 1% over Obama in the race for President.  (This has not sifnificantly changed for months).  This is after Senator Barak Obama getting every possible campaign advantage known to man or women.  This is after Senator Clinton suspended her campaign and after Obama world-wide presidential campaign tour.

It is clear that the people voting for McCain are solid; while the Obama voters are at best "iffy".  "Iffy" not only because they may change their mind; but in reality Democratic and Democratic leaning independent voters do not tell pollsters that they do not plan to vote for Obama when they in fact actually have no intention of voting for him.

This is not the traditional consequence of race being a factor in the election, i.e. racism.  It is in fact reverse racism.  These voters would love to vote for an African-American, Hispanic, or a women.  It is Obama policies and history they cannot stand.

This is in polling reverse discrimination.  These voters either do not like Obama's policies, his lack of experience (one speech in 2002), or his sexist attacks on Senator Hlllary Clinton.  Nonetheless, they will not say they are not voting for Obama because they fear (true an irrational one), that they will be viewed or labeled as racists.

This reverse discrimination actually significantly underestimates McCain's strength in all the polls.  If the an acutal hones poll could be taken of the population, I would argue that at this point McCain is leading by over 10% points over Obama.  That is why Obama cannot make any progress; no matter how well he is covered and treated by the press.

As Senator Clinton has always argued Obama is unelectable.  He is unelectable because he represents the opinions, perceptions, and hopes of only a relatively small minority of Americans, 20% at the top end.  Nothing Obama or the Democrats can do will change that.  Their only option is to bring back Senator Clinton as their nominee.
